DWF Wholesale Florists is a full-service floral wholesaler based in Denver, Colorado, partnering with leading suppliers from around the world to offer a wide selection of fresh flowers and floral supplies.

With 14 locations across the U.S., the company decided to adopt Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for its accounting and financial reporting system.

During implementation, DWF realized their reporting needs had grown. No longer could they manually consolidate data and piece together reports in Excel. If they wanted to provide each branch with up-to-date information on margins and inventory, it was time to make a change.

According to Business Systems Analyst, Yvonn Schomer, their first partner recommended they try a competitive solution for financial and operational reporting solution inside of Excel. Although Yvonn is experienced in Excel, the slow report performance and lack of support and training made this process a challenge. After spending 6 months trying to build a single report, Yvonn felt that she didn’t have anywhere to go: “I needed support and they couldn’t provide it to me,” she explains. “When reports didn’t work or timed out, I ended up creating them manually, defeating the purpose of the software.”
