Why Did You Become a Cosmos Partner?
“Cosmos helps us make our Business Central customers’ lives easier.”
Filling the Gap in Business Central Reporting
Admiral Consulting Group is a global Microsoft Gold ERP, CRM, and Cloud Solution Provider based in New Jersey. As a boutique-sized firm, it focuses on helping small to midsized businesses grow with the Microsoft technology stack and specializes in implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Like other ERPs, Business Central doesn’t have the financial reporting and analytics capabilities that most companies require today. Even though it is a native cloud ERP solution, historically, no cloud-based reporting add-on solutions have been available. When Business Central customers came asking for something better than the native ERP reporting, Admiral could only recommend on-premise reporting software that lacked the cloud functionality aligned with Business Central.
These outdated and often unstable reporting systems created a lot of extra challenges for customers running in the cloud. Admiral received negative feedback on slow report performance and system crashes from customers and had difficulties administering these solutions themselves. Unfortunately, the legacy reporting systems didn’t allow a clean, straightforward process to onboard new users, and support failed to be easily accessible when needed.
As a partner in the Microsoft ecosystem, reputation is essential to attracting and keeping customers. “Although we’re not the publisher, we are still responsible for the solution’s overall success,” explains Kat Wuethrich, Client Services. “If the reporting solution doesn’t perform, it reflects poorly on Admiral as a partner.”
When Anthony and Brian met with Admiral and introduced Cosmos, the first (and only) cloud reporting solution specifically built for Business Central, it didn’t take long for Admiral to see the value.
A Faster Reporting Alternative to Business Central Customers
“We were instantly sold on the Cosmos platform and its functionality,” says Kat excitedly. In a short 30-minute demo, the Cosmos team showed Admiral how fast, simplified, and secure their cloud reporting solution really was.
According to Kat, its quick and effortless delivery timeline ultimately sold them on the reporting solution. “Cosmos can turn around a fully built set of reports quickly, unlike anything we’ve ever seen before,” she explains. “We can connect Cosmos to a customer’s Business Central tenant in 20 minutes, and they can start creating reports immediately.” After that, it was clear that becoming a Cosmos partner was the right move.
Admiral started reaching out to Business Central customers struggling to make their on-premise reporting systems work. Since then, Admiral has closed 5 deals in a month and a half! One of those customers had been frustrated with their existing reporting software for a while and jumped at the chance to convert. They couldn’t run a report without the system timing out, so they were extremely impressed when they saw the speed of Cosmos – 48 times faster than other reporting solutions.
Becoming a Cosmos partner was a strategic move for Admiral. By offering a modern, stable cloud reporting and analytics solution to their cloud customers, they can meet expectations, keep their customers happy, and feel comfortable selling a useful solution. When asked about recommending Cosmos to other partners, Kat advised other partners not to miss out: “We believe that Cosmos is the #1 reporting solution for Business Central. We’ve moved away from recommending any other solution and are actively educating our existing customers on its benefits.”
“Between the product and the people behind it, Cosmos has really blown
Business Central reporting out of the park.”
